| Our beloved Raven was killed when she was struck by an automobile on June 4, 2001 |
| The following is a poem which I have written in memory of my dear friend. Although some people may say she was just a dog, I always considered her a friend. |
| Today as I approach your home Nothing is the same. You won't come running to me Even though I call your name. The neighborhood you loved to roam Every day so free Now seems such an empty place Since you can't come to me! I long to see your happy face As you come to get your treat. But Raven you're in heaven now Where you play amid the stars. No longer do you have to fear Speeding trucks and cars. I know we'll meet again somehow But until that day I'll keep your memory near With words of love written on my heart and on this page. |
